Your route: International relation General information for students When students arrive in France
If students arrive in Paris, they will need to get to the Gare de l'Est (train station in the Northeast of Paris) to take the train to Troyes.

In order to get to the Gare de l'Est :
From another train station in Paris
Students must take either the underground (metro) or a bus and get off at the Gare de l'Est. A metro ticket costs 1,40 €.

From Charles de Gaulle airport (Roissy)
Take the RATP bus 350 and get off at the Gare de l'Est (the journey takes about an hour). The Gare de l'Est is not located at the end of this bus route so make sure to get off at "Gare de l'Est".
Or
Use ROISSY RAIL - go to the RER station in the airport and take the RER line B in the direction of the "Gare du Nord". The ticket costs 7,75€ and includes a Metro connection. Get off at the Gare du Nord and either take the Metro one stop, or walk (10 minutes) to the Gare de l'Est. Total length of the journey is about 45 minutes.

From Orly airport
ORLYVAL : they must take the automatic metro Orlyval to "Antony" then take the RER line B in the direction of the "Gare du Nord". The ticket costs 8,85€ and includes a Metro connection. They must get off at the Gare du Nord and either take the Metro one stop, or walk to the Gare de l'Est (10 minutes). Total length of the journey is about 45 minutes.

From Gare de l'Est there are trains that run directly to Troyes. These run approximately every two hours during the day and evening. The journey normally takes between 1 ½ and 2 hours.

Students must inform the International Center of their arrival date, and whether they plan to come for the intensive French language course or just for the start of the regular term. Upon reception of this information the International Center will arrange for French students to meet the incoming students either at the train station in Troyes or at the UTT for those who plan to come by car.

For students coming from another continent than Europe there is the option of being met at the airport in Paris.

It is very important that the International Center knows the exact day and time foreign students expect to arrive. Students should not hesitate to contact the International Center if they miss a connecting flight or a train.
