Your route: International relation General information for students Accommodation

International students can apply for "State Housing Benefits", (subsidies which reduce the rent), providing they have opened a personal bank account in France. Students who are not citizens of a member coutry of the European Economic Area or from Switzerland, must also have a long stay visa type D for students which has been duly validated by the relevant regional OFII delegation.

In order to benefit from "State Housing Benefits", students must apply for the Resident's permit as soon as they arrive in France, (bring all requested documents, see section 2.2.1 "Before leaving home").

The International Center or the offices at Crous will help students with their application.

Every person in France must have comprehensive "home insurance" Students can take this insurance out with MGEL or LMDE for about 40 €.

Apartments

If you wish to enjoy a thriving social life and if you are keen on mixing with people from a different background while living in a tipically "Troyen" neighbourhood/accommodation then a flat in town may be an appropriate accommodation for you,

See also the new Students Hall "LA GRANDE COURTINE" on the downtown campus.

Please let us know, by ticking the appropriate box of your accommodation form if you would like to opt for a downtown flat, with or without the assistance of the International Center.
