UTT prides itself on its close connections with industry. Partnerships have been forged with over 3,000 businesses, allowing the University to engage on focused joint research efforts and place its students on internships. Each year, the UTT Business Forum welcomes some forty companies to the Troyes Campus, allowing students to meet directly with potential employers.
Research partnerships are a top priority for UTT and, together with the Compiègne University of Technology, the University is an active member of the Carnot Institute Network of scientific research professionals set up to build and maintain partnerships with industry.
Reflecting its commitment to scientific collaboration and technology transfer, the University proactively supports business innovation and creation initiatives by local entrepreneurs in the Champagne-Ardenne region.
In addition, UTT offers a comprehensive catalog of continuing education courses for employers, allowing them to improve the skills of their workforce to meet the changing needs of industry and society.
The apprenticeship tax levied on local businesses helps UTT upgrade the educational facilities available to students. The number of companies which opt to pay this tax directly to the University is constantly increasing, reflecting its growing recognition within the business community.
Conversely, students from the University bring local companies the benefits of their growing skills in the area of complex mechanical systems through the UTT Engineering Services Unit (ISUTT).
84% of UTT engineering graduates are offered jobs within four months of graduation.
